Dr. Emilio Torres-Netto receives 2023 Waring Memorial Award from the International Society of Refractive Surgery.
The CABMM participated at this year`s OLMA in St. Gallen. Together with the Institute of Animal Nutrition and Dietetics, we presented a project investigating the effects of macroalgae on porcine nutrition.

A team of researchers from the National University of Singapore around CABMM member Prof. Alfredo Franco-Obregon has developed a new magnetic therapy to be used in combination with chemotherapy for treatment of breast cancer.
The project "Accreditation of Biological Bandages for Burns and Wounds", that is led by CABMM member Prof. Lee Ann Laurent-Applegate and her colleagues Dr. Anthony de Buys Roessingh, Prof. Wassim Raffoul and Dr. Marjorie Flahaut of the CHUV, was officially approved by Swissmedic at the beginning of this year. Research on Progenitor Biological Bandages began more than two decades ago in Lausanne and continued within the CABMM network, namely with CABMM members Prof. Brigitte von Rechenberg and Dr. Katja Nuss from the MSRU of the University of Zurich.
The project of the MSRU “Human-Horse Interaction” was awarded a prize for pedagogical innovation from the Hans-Peter Frey Stiftung. Congratulations to Brigitte and the team!
