07.06.2013Dr. André N. Tiaden receives the SBMS President Award 2013

Dr. André N. Tiaden was recently awarded CHF5000 by the Swiss Bone and Mineral Society (SBMS) for a published article entitled "Human serine protease HTRA1 positively regulates osteogenesis of human bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells and mineralization of differentiating bone-forming cells through the modulation of extracellular matrix protein". The Bone and Stem Cell Research Group is interested in characterizing the functional role played by HTRA1 in MSC differentitaion with an emphasis being placed on normal and pathological bone processes.
