We congratulate our longstanding CABMM member Prof. Nicole Borel on her election as Vice Dean of Research and Academic Career Development at the Vetsuisse Faculty Zurich.
Nicole studied veterinary medicine in Zurich and already started working in the field of infection pathology focusing on chlamydia during her dissertation. She further specialized in chlamydial research during her habilitation and research stay at the University of Louisville in Kentucky. Since 2020 she has been professor of infection pathology with focus Chlamydia at the Institute of Veterinary Pathology and the WOAH expert (World Organisation for Animal Health) for ovine Chlamydiosis.
In her new position as Vice Dean of Research and Academic Career Development she would like to promote the outreach of research and young researchers at the Vetsuisse Faculty.
