Good Bye Mäxi!

Mäxi

The Mäxi Foundation significantly contributed to the success of the CABMM. Shortly after the establishment of the CABMM, the foundation`s substantial support provided a strong basis for the development of our center. The funds were used for the benefit of the whole CABMM network, e.g. by establishing the CABMM Start-up Grant and setting up regulatory requirements.

According to the last will and testament of the generous patron, the Mäxi Foundation will be dissolved soon. On March 12th, 2019, the foundation’s closing symposium took place at the Schulthess Clinic Zurich with short presentations of supported projects including the CABMM.

The symposium showed that the Mäxi Foundation was able to make a difference! The money was used in a sustainable manner, either by directly helping people suffering from physical difficulties, e.g. by financing new robots for the physical therapy of kids after trauma, or by promoting medical research in the fields of musculoskeletal, cardiovascular, and age-related diseases. All speakers expressed their deep gratitude and will continue with their projects and an optimistic view of the future.

We would like to thank Andreas Donatsch, Martin Kündig, Bruno Bonin and Patrik Haldemann for their trust and support – without the Mäxi Foundation, we would not be where we are today!
